Picks and bar in Nashville?

Post by Mike Friedman »

I’m in St Louis on my way to a show in Nashville and just realized that my toolbox got left in Omaha. Can anyone tell me somewhere to go in Nashville where I can get a decent bar and some finger picks?

Thanks.

Mike, Corner Music in Nashville is the store I dealt with while I was living there. They should have finger picks and at least a generic Dunlop or Ernie Ball bar to get you through the gig.

I would imagine even a Guitar Center (if there is one) would have finger picks and Dunlop bars to get you by until yours can catch up to you.
Carter D10 8p/7k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup, Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112, Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open G slide and regular G tuning guitar) .

Playing for 55 years and still counting.

Try Gruhn Guitars or Carter Vintage Guitars. I've bought these types of things from them multiple times in the past, and they have good quality items.

Thanks again to all who chimed in.

I was able to meet up with Johnnie and he hooked me up with the good stuff.

He and my singer talked John Deere while I picked around on one of his many gorgeous steels. Such a pleasure to meet Johnnie and get to sign the wall. He may not know it, but he's my new best friend :D

I'm happy to see you found the right spot for you. Of all the places in the world to need a new bar and picks, Nashville would be my top choice.
