I have reached out to two moderators, but to no avail

This image is 100 x 100 pixels. See if you can use this image as your avatar. If you can, then send me the image you really want, and I'll resize it to 100 x 100 pixels.

W.C. - I don't know which mods you contacted, but I haven't gotten anything from you.
1. Uploading Avatar - uploading an avatar is pretty straightforward. Look for your username upper-right right on the page. Click your name, then click or right-click "User Control Panel". Now in the user control panel, click the Profile tab, and then click the "Edit Avatar" tab on the left.
You'll need to have an avatar file of type .gif, .jpg, .jpg, or .png. The requirements for the avatar file are listed there also:
In the Select Your Avatar section below, you'll see a Browse button - simply navigate to your avatar file, and click Open. You'll come back to the main screen. Now click Submit. That's it.
2. Posting a photo - the instructions for uploading a photo to the forum and displaying are here - viewtopic.php?t=408592
If you have a photo file somewhere else that you want to link, just type the URL for the photo, and enclose in the img tags. For example,

4096 KiB is 4 MB. If it's larger than that, you'll need to reduce it. In windoze, I use a program called pixresizer to reduce photo size, but there are many ways to do this.Maximum dimensions; width: 100 pixels, height: 100 pixels, file size: 4096.00 KiB
