I'm Back!!!

Post by Sonny Jenkins »

LOL,,, well as many of you know ,,afterbeing active on the forum , almost since the beginning,,,I kinda dropped out for a while.

Also I had stopped building my very popular little lap steels (do a forum search). Now I have a new design that I hope to be able build a few,,,,even a keyed version,, LOL. Many remember me as being "keyless to the core",,,,LOL.

Can't see how to add pic in this format,,, I'll try post pics later, or if anyone is interested contact me and I'll send pics

Wow what a beautiful looking lap steel. Super gorgeous. I don’t understand how the keyless thing works though.

Yessir! Very, very nice professionally crafted lap steel model.

If you look closely at the tuner head, you will see black screws throught the individual tuner pullers that adjust them back and forth in a straight pull for tuning to pitch.

Of course I defer to Sonny, but it appears they operate in the same way as Williams keyless tuners.
