HISTORIC VAULT (Where we post current and past Steel Guitar Design Ideas For Posteriority)

Post by J D Sauser »

This sticky thread is a followup to a thread called "Ensuring The Future Of The Pedal Steel" by Wesley Parish.

This is our VAULT, where we deposit past and current designs for posteriority.
It is NOT meant for DISCUSSING design ideas etc. It's purely a historic safeguard, so younger generations can find these. Call it a "museum" on Steel Guitar development.

Thanks!... J-D. Sauser

Tablature KILLS SKILLS.
The uses of Tablature is addictive and has been linked to reduced musical fertility.
Those who produce Tablature did never use it.

I say it humorously, but I mean it.

Thanks for starting this sticky, J-D! Copying over my comment from the original thread:

Linking some threads I think could be useful (all guitars no longer in production, but I do not know about patent status):

This is the PDF file containing the discussions from the Steel Builders forum. I've pruned them down; I'm not sure if I should've pruned them further, but I'm not going to post discussions without leaving identifying names, etc. I hope it'll be of use.
