NGD early 50s Dual Pro - Jody?

Post by Tim Whitlock »

I just acquired this minty Dual Pro. The case is in great shape as well but was missing the handle. Fortunately I had an old luggage handle that matches up well. The pickups sound so great! I measured them at 10.58k and 11.9k. They seem hotter than other traps I have played. As you can see it has the name Jody attached to the front. This will stay on the instrument and will be my name for her. I'm in the Denver area. Perchance does anyone have an idea who Jody is/was? Jody Carver comes to mind, which would be very cool, but probably unlikely.

Mr. Carver passed in 2022. Some of his equipment and packets of strings were sold off on the forum. Perhaps someone could recognize the guitar and vouch for it. Certainly its not out of the realm of possibility that Jody Carver owned a Fender !
